Although the role of MYC in DC development and differentiation is well known (19, 25), a role for MYC in the establishment of immune regulatory responses had not been described before, except for the group of Casey et al. (26) whom showed that MYC promotes tumor growth and development through the modulation of the regulatory molecules CD46 and PD-L1 expression on tumor cells as a means to evade anti-tumor responses. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is neoplasm.
