MAPT and hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy: The region affected most frequently by tau pathology in the PART cohort was the brainstem including CIP (12 out of the 16 cases), SN (10/16), MO (9/16), and LCP (8/16); followed by the diencephalon including the thalamus (7/16), subthalamus (7/16), and hypothalamus (4/16); and the striatum including the caudatum (5/16), putamen (5/16), globus pallidus (6/16) (Figure 1).
