More importantly, HIF-1α has been suggested to be abnormally increased expression in ovarian cancer tissues [27,28], and inhibiting HIF-1α could improve the cisplatin-sensitivity of ovarian cancer cells [29], indicating that ANRIL over-expression in ovarian cancer cells may be closely related to the activation of HIF-1α. The gene discussed is CDKN2B-AS1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
