TRPV1 and hypertensive disorder: Apart from being widely distributed throughout the nervous system, TRPV1 can be found in various organs and tissues, including the heart, blood vessels, lungs, trachea, kidneys, skin, retinas, joints, intestines, brain, uterus, testes, salivary glands, and pancreas, and it plays an important role in pathogenic processes, such as atherosclerosis, ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, myocardial fibrosis and remodeling, hypertension, asthma, arthritis, dermatitis, and diabetes [8,11–19].
