We used bioluminescence imaging (which becomes co-expressed upon Mycl transgene activation) to decide on the start of treatment: when the bioluminescence signal reached 1 × 105 relative luciferase units, a level that corresponds to a significant tumor burden (data not shown), cisplatin was given intravenously once every 2 weeks at a dose of 6 mg/kg.
