Interestingly, the FUS NTD represents an independent unit to fuse with CHOP with the DNA-binding domain to form an aberrant transcription factor TLS/FUS-CHOP [1,2], in which the FUS NTD is absolutely required for oncogenesis because the overexpression of only CHOP did not develop liposarcoma [18–20]. The gene discussed is DDIT3; the disease is liposarcoma.
