Given that CASC9 was ubiquitously expressed in both the nucleus and cytoplasm of CRC cells and that cytoplasmic lncRNAs are more effectively suppressed by siRNAs, we also silenced CASC9 using Antisense LNA GapmeRs, which have been shown to be highly effective for knockdown of mRNA and lncRNA in an RNase H-dependent manner [31].
