Akil et al. [13] found out that TLR4 Asp299Gly polymorphism and TLR-4 (896) G allele frequency were not different in children with UTI in comparison with healthy children (genotype frequency 12.5 vs. 15.1% and allele frequency 7.1 vs. 6.9%, respectively). Here, TLR4 is linked to bacterial urinary tract infection.
