Gastric adenocarcinoma predictive long intergenic noncoding RNA, which is termed GAPLINC, has been shown to contribute to the malignant phenotype, including the increased proliferation and invasiveness of GC cells, by activating CD44 expression, and inhibition of GAPLINC produces a significant reduction in tumor growth in vivo (Peng et al., 2015).
