In previous preclinical research, using an in vivo mouse myocardial ischemia model, we found that supplementing CTRP3 [7] or CTRP9 [9] can attenuate post-MI remodeling and augment post-MI contractile function through their anti-apoptotic and pro-angiogenic properties.
