It is interesting to note that in addition to the SP100 and REL genes, the lymphadenitis group has significantly up-regulated ETS1 (p = 0.0046) and BCL2 genes (p = 0.021), both genes involved in the inhibition of apoptosis, tumorigenesis and cell proliferation, while these patient groups had no known occurrence of lymphoma. Here, SP100 is linked to lymphadenitis.
