Our 44% detection rate of CCSP‐2 in the blood of CRC patients is lower than expected, as CCSP‐2 was shown to be increased by more than 8‐fold in > 80% of CRC cases.18 Possible explanations for this phenomenon include low level of plasma CCSP‐2 and CCSP‐2 protein degradation.
