We demonstrated that ATL-III could prevent CKD-induced muscle atrophy and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors (TNF-α, CRP, IL-1β, and IL-6) in muscles and serum in CKD rats, and ATL-III also displayed its effect on promoting the transition from M1 (proinflammatory) to M2 (anti-inflammatory) phenotype in macrophages in muscles of CKD rats. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and chronic kidney disease.
