Besides, to detect whether the inflammation could affect the number of total macrophages and whether ATL-III treatment affect the transition from M1 to M2 phenotype in macrophages in CKD muscles, CD68+ (the marker of total macrophages), CD86+ (the marker of M1 macrophages), and CD206+ (the marker of M2 macrophages) macrophages in gastrocnemius muscle sections of the three groups were detected by performing immunofluorescence. Here, CD68 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
