Pandey et al conducted a systematic review and reported that independently of other risk factors, FH‐CHD, correlated with vascular function, inflammatory markers including C‐reactive protein (CRP), fibrinogen, and D‐dimer, and showed the strongest and most consistent association with coronary artery calcification and carotid intima thickness with 2‐3 approximate odds ratios.7 This evidence concerns the gene CRP and coronary artery disorder.
