H19 and neoplasm: The paternally methylated H19/IGF2:IG DMR (IC1) controls paternal expression of the insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2), which is implicated in growth and tumorigenesis, and maternal expression of H19, a non-coding RNA, which restricts growth by way of a cis control on IGF2 and may also have a tumor suppressor function.
