KLF4 and colorectal carcinoma: It is now well established that KLF4 (also called gut‐enriched Krüppel‐like factor or GKL)24 is a key suppressor gene in CRC involved in multiple key CRC pathways such as Notch pathway and Wnt/β‐catenin pathway.25, 26, 27, 28, 29 A number of miRNAs can bind to the 3′‐untranslated region (3′‐UTR) of KLF4 mRNA.25, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 Hence, we predicted 15 candidate circRNAs as KLF4 ceRNA in CRC tissues (Figure 5).
