CD46 and neoplasm: In a slightly different approach, Su et al. used a model of prostatic cancer, where CD46 was found to be overexpressed in primary tumor tissue in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) but not on normal tissues, and was able to show excellent selective killing of cancer cells by using an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) consisting of a tubulin inhibitor and a macropinocytosing anti-CD46 ADC.
