MACROH2A1 and prostate intraepithelial neoplasia: Thus, our results suggest that sustained MacroH2A1.1 downregulation is associated with the emergence of the malignant phenotype in the prostate, whereas concomitant MacroH2A1.2 decreased expression might be relevant for the development of PIN lesions only, which frequently do not seem to progress into invasive carcinoma.
