HIF‐1α is a master regulator of oncogenes or several key mechanisms that are closely related to PC carcinogenesis.2, 3 LOX family members are the target genes of HIF‐1α.4, 5 LOXL2, a member of LOX family, plays a role in PC treatment, and its downregulation attenuates EMT‐like process and inhibits invasiveness and metastasis of PC cell lines.6 Thus, exploring novel agents targeting HIF‐1α and LOXL2 may represent therapeutic strategies in PC prevention. Here, LOX is linked to pachyonychia congenita.
