Closer inspection revealed a number of modules (14) with strongly (ρ > 1) inverted correlations, the most striking example being ZNF134 and TFAMP1, which switch from a strong positive correlation in the healthy pancreas (ρ = 0.92) to a negative correlation in T2D (ρ = − 0.7). This evidence concerns the gene TFAMP1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
