In HCC, tumor genes such as procollagen-lysine, 2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 3 (PLOD3), and splicing factor 3b subunit 4 (SF3B4) are overexpressed in HCC tumor tissues compared with adjacent tissues, and knocking down their expression levels can effective suppress tumor invasion (Shen et al., 2018). The gene discussed is PLOD3; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
