OXT and depressive disorder: We conducted repeated measures ANCOVAs with stimulus type (neutral, sexual, infant crying, or infant smiling) as the repeated measures variable, medication use and nasal spray group (and their interaction) as fixed effects, and the following covariates: scores on the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression (CES-D) scale on the day of the imaging session [56], age, pre-trial urinary oxytocin level, and activation to nonsense images in which the pixels from the other stimuli were scrambled.
