A potential role for PRDM10 in cancer is to be highly expected since several better studied members of the PRDM family, PRDM2, PRDM3, PRDM5, and PRDM14, are known to play an important role in a variety of cancers (Huang, 2002; Emterling et al., 2004; Canote et al., 2002; Deng & Huang, 2004; Nishikawa et al., 2007). This evidence concerns the gene MECOM and cancer.
