CD4 and infection: In addition, low CD4+ count was significantly associated with a higher infection rate with microsporidia (28.6% vs. 8.1%), where patients with counts < 200 cells/μl were at about 4.5-fold higher risk of infection than those with counts ≥200 cells/μl (OR = 4.55; 95% CI = 1.066–7.297, P = 0.037).
