An exception was case 288, an ER-positive lobular breast cancer, where, besides a 1q gain and 16q loss seen in all metastases, there were additional and mutually exclusive CNAs: amplification of 11q13/14, including CCND1 and PAK1, in lymph nodes (288-005 and 288-006), the ascites fluid cell pellet, and ovaries (classified as IntClust2) and 8q and 10q amplifications in brain and lung and pleura (classified as IntClust10). Here, CCND1 is linked to breast cancer.
