Slc6a13 (solute carrier family 6 member 13), which is involved in neurotransmitter transport and binding, has also been linked by multiple reports with alcohol use disorders (Hagerty, Bidwell, Harlaar, & Hutchison, 2016; McClintick et al., 2015, 2016), but to our knowledge, its relationship to FASD has not been explored. Here, SLC36A1 is linked to alcohol abuse.
