Studies have demonstrated that Aβ accumulates in the gray matter of brains from AD patients and is surrounded by a large number of activated microglia and astrocytes (Fakhoury, 2018), which secrete a series of inflammatory factors such as IL‐l, IL‐6, IL‐8, and TNF‐α (Chen et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and Alzheimer disease.
