Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) patients possess mutations in genes encoding proteins that form the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-oxidase (NADPH) complex; thus these patients are unable to generate NADPH oxidase-derived ROS (Supplemental Figure 5) and TSLP from mDC in response to dectin-1 agonists (23). The gene discussed is FMO5; the disease is chronic granulomatous disease.
