ERBB2 and breast carcinoma: The fact that SORLA depletion (1) dramatically reduces proliferation of HER2-driven bladder and breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, (2) alters HER2 signalling, (3) interferes with lysosome integrity and (4) provides additive pro-apoptotic effects in combination with a clinically well-tolerated and widely used lysosome-accumulating drug provides new insight into the pathophysiology and targetability of HER2-driven oncogenesis.
