Epithelial gene E-CAD level was upregulated following miR551b overexpression, whereas the levels of mesenchymal genes, such as N-CAD, SNAIL, and VIMENTIN, were downregulated by miR551b overexpression (Figure 4F–I), suggesting that miR551b overexpression leads to the dysregulation of EMT signatures in CRC cells by targeting ZEB1. The gene discussed is CDH2; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
