Although triggering TLR3 signaling induces the activation of multiple proinflammatory pathways (as NFκB and IRF3 signals) [38], it is likely that in our system the baculovirus component in combination with Poly (I:C) strongly drove the innate response toward a favorable recognition of viral components rather than toward the tumor antigen, due to the synergetic effect of the activation of TLR9 and TLR3. The gene discussed is TLR9; the disease is neoplasm.
