ERBB2 and breast carcinoma: On a molecular level, breast cancer can be defined as five predominant molecular subtypes including the luminal A (LumA), luminal B (LumB), and Normal-like (NL) subtypes which are predominantly estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) positive; the HER2 Enriched subtype (HER2E) subtype; and basal-like tumors which are largely synonymous with Triple Negative Breast cancer (TNBC) and are ER/PR/HER2 negative.
