In the model described by Lehtonen et al. (2016), the release of Ca2+ was succesfully blocked not only by 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate (2-APB), an inositiol-3-phosphate receptor (IP3R) inhibitor, but also by bacitracin, a PDI inhibitor, and it promoted neuroblastoma cell survival. This evidence concerns the gene P4HB and neuroblastoma.
