Similar to the studies describing a reduction of the IL-8 levels in lung cancer cells co-treated with IL-1β and Phlor (30–100 μM) [45], we showed a significant decrease of IL-8 level at 50 μM Phlor, and a non-significant tendency to reduce its biosynthesis at 10 μM. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and lung cancer.
