In the present study, we therefore investigated the incidence and relative risk of cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and venous thromboembolism) in close to 1000 well‐characterized patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome compared with individuals from the general population with a median follow‐up period approaching 10 years, overall, and stratified by Ro/SSA and/or La/SSB autoantibody status. The gene discussed is CALR; the disease is venous thromboembolism.
