As recently reported, ADC histogram analysis parameters were more sensitive than mean ADC values and can better reflect different histopathological features in several malignancies.[29–33] For example, ADC histogram analysis parameters correlated well with cellularity and proliferation index Ki 67 in HNSCC.[32] Furthermore, it has been shown that ADC histogram values can also predict expression of tumor suppressor gene protein p53 and epidermal growth factor receptor in rectal cancer.[33] We hypothesized that ADC histogram analysis parameters might also reflect MVD. Here, TP53 is linked to head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
