In addition, vehicle‐treated SLE mice had a significantly higher percentage of CD3+CD4+ T cells compared to all other treatment groups with CYC‐treated SLE mice showing a significant decrease in CD3+CD4+ T cell (Fig. 5B) infiltration in the kidney compared to vehicle‐treated SLE mice (6.16 ± 1.27 vs. 15.36 ± 3.39%, P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and systemic lupus erythematosus.
