To test whether STAT-6 phosphorylation is crucially involved in glioma cell invasion, we inhibited it in H4 and A172 cells by varying the concentration (100, 200 & 300 nM) of the AS1517499 inhibitor, and we found that their invasive capacity was reduced upon inhibition of STAT-6 phosphorylation in a dose-dependent manner in both cell lines (Fig. 8A,B). The gene discussed is STAT6; the disease is glioma.
