NPPB and AL amyloidosis: We report the following principle findings in patients with cardiac AL amyloidosis: (1) Prolonged QTc (≥483 msec) and abnormal QRS axis showed significant incremental prognostic values in addition to revised Mayo stage; (2) ECG scores which were assigned by presence of prolonged QTc (≥483 msec) and abnormal QRS axis, showed good associations with the mean absolute values of LV GLS and regional LS; and (3) mean values of Log NT-proBNP differed significantly according to ECG score and showed an increasing trend as ECG score increased.
