Studies have demonstrated that miR-140-5p is involved in the inhibition of tumor invasion and metastasis by suppressing the activity of the disintegrin-like metalloproteinase10 (ADAM10)-mediated Notch signaling pathway, and a decrease in the Notch signaling pathway would consequently inhibit the invasion and migration of FaDu cells, thereby highlighting the vitality of miR-140-5p in the inhibition of FaDu cells [14].
