Though not statistically significant, neutrophil concentration in TRP4-fed fish held at LD tended to be higher than in CTRL-fed fish, which could give cues about the immune system activation produced during the days previous to the end of the trial (with the subsequent stabilization of mortality rates), or even about the mediated orchestration to further induce a refractory answer during infection in a longer response. This evidence concerns the gene TRPC4 and infection.
