PTGS2 and listeriosis: The long intergenic non-coding RNA (lincRNA)-cyclooxygenase 2 (Cox2) has been shown to regulate transcription of inflammation-related genes in the innate immune response through the NF-κB signaling pathway, and Listeria monocytogenes infection has been shown to cause the up-regulation of lincRNA-Cox2 in macrophages (Carpenter et al., 2013).
