Cell death induced by both TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2 has been implicated in the control of human B cell lymphoma, with a specific contribution of each receptor, dependent on their relative surface expression (51) Indeed, in line with published data (52, 53) the human Burkitt lymphoma-derived B cell line BJAB expressed both TRAIL-R1 and TRAIL-R2 (Figure S3A) and was sensitive to TRAIL-mediated apoptosis (Figures 4A,B). The gene discussed is TNFSF10; the disease is B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
