CXCL8 and Alzheimer disease: As a result of blood test in AD patients, the elevations of IL-6, IL-8, andgranulocyte-colony stimulating factor were observed after the onset of AD,therefore the mechanism of vascular inflammation after AD was common in a mousemodel of AD and in patients with acute AD, suggesting that the IL-8 receptorantagonist (under development) and the anti-human IL-6 monoclonal antibodypreparation may be effective in preventing the complications and improving theprognosis of patients with acute AD[24].
