Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disease and an outcome of the reciprocal translocation t (9;22) (q34;q11) or the BCR‐ABL1 fusion gene (Kassogue et al., 2014; Rostami, Hamid, Yaran, Khani, & Karimipoor, 2015). The gene discussed is ABL1; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
