Notably, among the 7 matched stage I tumor and normal tissue samples, none had detectable expression of ZC3H12A protein in normal tissue, while all 7 patients had significantly higher expression of ZC3H12A protein in the stage I tumors as compared to matched normal samples (P = 0.0156, Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed rank test) (Figure 4D).
