We have previously shown that loss of Dab2 expression in normal mammary epithelial cells leads to increased expression of TGFβ2 and a constitutive EMT phenotype28, and in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), low Dab2 expression in combination with high TGFβ2 expression in tumors was correlated with reduced survival27. This evidence concerns the gene DAB2 and squamous cell carcinoma.
