TNF and psoriasis: Monoclonal antibodies against TNF-α (i.e., infliximab, adalimumab, and golimumab) and circulating receptor fusion proteins (etanercept) are effective therapies for psoriasis, but the search for new strategies is mandatory due to the possible occurrence of serious side effects including lymphoma, infections, congestive heart failure, demyelinating disease, a lupus-like syndrome, induction of auto-antibodies, injection site reactions, and systemic adverse effects [19].
