In the univariate regression analysis, GPS (1 vs. 0), GPS (2 vs. 0), age, heart failure, CKD, presence of AF, absence of hypertension, elevated levels of leucocyte count, creatinine, total bilirubin, NT-ProBNP, ALT and AST, and low levels of hemoglobin, total cholesterol, and lower LVEF were found as the independent predictors of in-hospital mortality (Table S4). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and heart failure.
