The “tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling pathway” and the “fructose and mannose metabolism” were mainly enriched signaling pathways within the upregulated genes in both S. aureus- and E. coli-induced sepsis, while in the E. coli infection group “inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)” was an extra enrichment pathway within the upregulated genes. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and Sepsis.
